Spanning Cloud Apps, Inc. participates in the EU and Swiss Safe Harbor Privacy Framework as set forth by the United States Department of Commerce. As part of our participation in the safe harbor, we have agreed to TRUSTe dispute resolution for disputes relating to our compliance with the Safe Harbor Privacy Framework.

Spanning Cloud Apps, Inc. (“Spanning”) has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our commitment to customer privacy. Privacy on the Spanning Backup web service (the “Service”) is of great importance to us. We also collect personal information on our website, spanningbackup.com. Because we gather important information from our users, we have established this Statement as a means to communicate our information gathering and dissemination practices.

Related to our Service:

We require users of the Service to give us information including their Google account name. Spanning uses the information to deliver the Service for individuals and their organizations. This information will not be distributed or shared with third parties. We may use this information to contact users of the Service via email regarding new products, features, and offers. If we contact you with a promotional communication to your email provided, you will be able to Opt-Out by clicking the link in the email. However, you cannot Opt-Out of transactional emails.

Users of the Service will be using the Service to access data and information (“Data”) stored in Google applications. Spanning will not review, share, distribute, print, or reference any such Data except as may be required by law. Individual records may at times be viewed or accessed only for the purpose of resolving a problem or support issue, or as may be required by law. Of course, customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their user registration and password.
