Prior to taking over as VP of Engineering in 2017, Andrea served as Director of Engineering for Spanning beginning in 2013. A professional software engineering manager with 18 years of experience, Andrea oversaw multiple facets of product engineering from project management and leading a team to promoting quality practices and supporting products to achieve 100% availability. She focused on ensuring that Spanning delivered the highest-quality “whole-product” releases. Prior to coming to Spanning, Andrea led software development teams at ServiceMesh Inc., Paymetric Inc., and Vignette Corporation. She also managed customer support operations at UniSQL, was a project team leader at Ingres Corporation, and served as a technical consultant to Sprinkle Law LP, LLC. Andrea holds a BA in statistics with an emphasis on computer science from the University of California, Berkeley. When Andrea isn’t hard at work, she enjoys the outdoors with her husband and two children.
