Turning Your Force.com Canvas App Into a Salesforce1 App

Here at Spanning, we have two Salesforce-related products – Spanning Backup for Salesforce, a Canvas app, and Spanning Backup for Salesforce1 Mobile, which is the first application translated into a mobile experience.

This year at Dreamforce, we’re expecting a lot of focus on mobile and the Salesforce1 platform. We expect that after Dreamforce, a lot of Force.com developers are going to be looking to make their existing apps work with Salesforce1.

Well good news – we have a guide for that! Using our own real-world experiences with Salesforce and Salesforce1, we show you how we got our app to work with Salesforce1, the tools we used, the problems we ran into, how we solved them, and some best practices for developing for Salesforce1. We hope we can save others some time as they start building on this exciting new platform. Download “How to Make Your Force.com Canvas App Available on Salesforce1” to read the full story.

If you’d like to hear it in person, go see our developers Patty Cifra and Gordon Bockus tomorrow, Tuesday, October 14th at 11:15am at the Mobile Theater in Moscone Center West at Dreamforce as they present “Surface Your Existing Force.com Canvas App in Salesforce1.”

And of course we invite you to visit us at booth #N2236 this week at Dreamforce – we’ll be happy to answer any questions you have!
