AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Spanning Cloud Apps, Inc., the leading provider of SaaS data protection solutions, announces their flagship product Spanning Backup for Google Workspace is now available through the EMC® Select Partner Program. The partner program enables EMC Corporation’s customers to easily acquire pretested, third-party solutions, and extends Spanning Backup’s reach as an enterprise-level solution. The top-rated solution on the Google Workspace Marketplace, Spanning Backup, is the only data protection product that provides full data recovery for the core Google Workspace components.

“Protecting SaaS applications from potential data loss is an absolute necessity as more organizations put their business critical data in the cloud. Participation in the EMC Select Partner Program allows us to extend our market reach with a stronger focus on enterprise customers,” said Jeff Erramouspe, chief revenue officer, Spanning.

In addition to joining the partner program, the company continues to gain momentum, having more than tripled the number of paid seats installed since the beginning of the year. Additionally, industry leaders Netflix, Jawbone, Redfin, Pivotal Software, Inc. and Bartle Bogle Hegarty have joined the customer roster in recent months.

“We are excited to have Spanning join the EMC Select Partner Program,” said Hugues Meyrath, vice president of product management and business development, EMC Backup Recovery Systems Division. “Protecting SaaS data has become increasingly important and we are looking forward to working with Spanning to connect our customers with their comprehensive backup and recovery solution.”

In March of 2013, Spanning joined forces with EMC in a comprehensive co-marketing agreement that includes co-promoting Spanning and EMC’s Mozy® technology to offer businesses new data backup and recovery solutions. Most recently, Spanning launched their Spanning Backup Summer ’13 Release offering new features to further empower large organizations to protect, manage and repair the Google Workspace data of their vast and dynamic user bases. With today’s announcement, Spanning builds upon its relationship with EMC and enhances its market reach by joining the EMC Select Partner Program.
